CHANGING YOUR MIND
WHAT IS REPENTANCE?
John the Baptist cried in the wilderness: "Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand?"
In the original Greek, the word repent is metanoia. And metanoia means change of mind.
Most of us believe that our problems come from our circumstances. This is a false belief.
Our problems come from the state of our mind. Our mind is in the wilderness.
In the Bible, the wilderness corresponds to a state of confusion.
When we are in spiritual darkness or ignorance, we are in the wilderness.
When we are in the wilderness, nothing makes any sense; we do not understand anything and do not know what we are doing.
If we want things to change, the first thing we have to do is to acknowledge that we are lost in the wilderness; we have no direction. And then we must repent or change our mind.
A NEW STATE OF MIND
Most of us actually understand Reality upside down!
We think our circumstances is what is causing our state of mind. When, in Truth, it is our state of mind that is causing our circumstances.
What we do then is we try to fix the problems in our life by doing things. But what we end up doing is creating more problems.
To fix our problems, we must change our mind.
We must view the universe in a different way.
We falsely believe that the universe is dead matter.
The Truth is that the universe is intelligent, infinitely intelligent and alive. There is intelligence in every atom of the universe.
We think the universe is against us.
The universe is actually with us, not against us. The universe wants to help us realize our true self.
We think that, if we do not do anything, nothing will happen. This is not true.
If you place a seed in the ground, does nothing happen?
You may come back in a few years and find a tree full of fruit.
In the same way, if you plant the seed of desire in your mind and imagine your ideal vision, the forces of the universe will bring it into manifestation.
But the seed and vison must always be there.
Every physical manifestation has had its roots in Universal Mind.
Mind is simply a higher level of the universe where new ideas are being created and brought into physical manifestation.
Natural man reacts to physical events but spiritual man creates in spiritual mind and manifests his desires in the physical world.
