BUILDING THE WILL
SELF-WILL AND REAL WILL
First, you must distinguish between your self-will and your real will.
Your self-will is the stubborness of your personal ego while your real will is your I AM. Your I is in harmony with Divine Will or purpose.
The bigger your ego is, the more self-will you possess.
Your self-will desires things without regard for the greater Good; it is selfish and has no spiritual principles.
In contrast, your real will wants everyone to be as healthy, wealthy and joyous as it is.
By continually obeying your self-will, you become a prisoner of lust and greed.
By obeying the principles and ideals of your real will, you attain the freedom of Heaven.

HOW TO BUILD THE WILL
You may have noticed that whenever you want to accomplish anything there is a small voice in your head telling you that it is impossible and you start to imagine all the obstacles that are in your way. This is normal.
Whenever we affirm anything, we automatically summon its opposite which is denial.
Now, if you have already accomplished many things in your life, the denial will be minimal because you have developed real will. The voice of denial cannot tell you that you cannot accomplish this new project because you can answer back by saying: " That is what you said last time but you were wrong because I was successful! Therefore, I will be successful again!"
However, if all you have experienced are failures, the voice of denial will say:"Remember last time, you said you were going to accomplish so and so but you failed! And so, you will probably fail again!"
This voice of denial is a very cheap lawyer that resides in your subconscious mind. The only way you can shut it up is by strong evidence.
You must start to create some successful evidence. Once you have the evidence that you are successful, it cannot bother you and keep you from accomplishing everything you want.
The Truth is that there are no outer obstacles; there are only inner obstacles which are lack of faith and belief.
A weight lifter does not start to build his muscles by lifting four hundred pounds right off the bat. He builds them slowly by adding ten or twenty pounds at a time.
First, he finds out how much he can lift easily. Then, he adds ten or twenty pounds and so on, until his muscles get accustomed to the weight.
In building the will, you must do the same thing. Start with something you know you can do. Then, think of something a bit more difficult but possible. Pretty soon, you will find that all things are possible.
It is important that you begin doing things NOW. It does not matter what it is. For example, begin by painting a chair. And, whenever you begin any project, make sure that you finish it completely. Your memory of you painting a chair successfully will be impressed upon your subconscious and you will begin to erase your memories of failure.
Remember, whenever you undertake to do anything, no matter how insignificant, make sure that you complete it successfully.
Your word must also be golden. If you tell someone that you are going to do something, you must do it no matter what. If you go back on your word, you will lose your willpower.
The memories of all these successes will convince your subconscious that all things are possible. And this is the Truth.
